Design is front and centre at NouvelleBox’s Paris showcase in a few days. Diamonds are shining brighter, as are coloured accents. We were fortunate enough to get a first-hand look at what the talented designers are bringing to the show.

Joanna Dahdah’s classics, Tarbouche and Mila collections, are paired alongside her latest line, Merveilles. She will be unveiling a large collection of charms that is infused with her signature design aesthetics. “For the Merveilles collection, I wanted to design sophisticated, fun and demure pieces, and I did so by introducing new techniques such as stone cutting to my collection,” says Joanna. She employs very detailed lapidary work to execute the idea of “setting a stone inside a stone.” Joanna’s Merveilles Fringe line, inspired by movement, features lovely earrings that catch the light as you move.

Milka Karaağaçlı Ince, designer of Kismet by Milka, is excited to unveil the brand’s 15th year anniversary collection. The line, she says, will only be placed in stores mid-October. She will also drop her first collection for men. So, make sure you get a good look at these exclusive pieces. Milka’s signature and most iconic pieces will be on display at Nouvelle box. “These pieces are selected from the Innerland, 10th Eye, Victory, Balcony, Milka’s Party, Monsters, Passenger, and Milka’s Dreaming collections.”.

The brand, noted for its craftsmanship and designs delves into meaningful themes. It is common to see symbolism repeated across her designs: stars, crescents and the eye motifs are core symbols of the brand. They represent luck and protection,” she adds. Technology and innovation allow her to create multifunctional pieces, she explains. Details on the pieces such as clasps and backings lend her designs a unique edge. “They also allow our customers to wear their pieces in diverse ways, to express their unique personalities,” says Milka.

Karina Choudhrie’s fine jewellery is infused with the same finesse and reverence that she accords her high jewellery. Debuting in Paris with NB this fall, Karina’s core collections Icon and Vitamin Pink will shine in some very special new colours. Exciting new pieces include ear cuffs from the Vitamin Pink line. Karina leans on a very strong design language, while making sure all her pieces are comfortable enough to wear every day. Her credo, “fine jewellery that’s chic but cool, pieces meant for stacking and mixing” guides her design.

Gwen Myers designs bold pieces for her brand, Eden Presley. For her Paris outing, she has added some beautiful one-of-a-kind additions to her Rock collection. “The pieces fuse classic traditional motifs with modern unusual elements,” says Gwen, about her jewellery that is artful and reflects a passion for elegance.

Lene Vibe, also debuting with NB, will feature designs based around pearls with a lot of whimsical details such as ladybugs, snails and hummingbirds. Her collection is based on her love for the natural world, from working in her garden, to exploring the forest, and watching the movements of the ocean, inspiring the whimsical flowers and creatures that surround precious pearls and gemstones in her collection. “I use Tahiti and South Sea pearls in my collection — and only use the best quality, each of which I select myself,” she says. Cord bracelets made of nylon and braided by Lene with gold motifs tricked out in gold and diamonds are again inspired by the blooms, bugs and creatures that populate her lush and colourful garden in Copenhagen.

For his Kaleidoscope Shaker,™ Moritz Glik will be showing several collections with a particular focus on the Roda, and the novelty in his popular Core line. Roda is a whirlwind journey that celebrates Moritz’ origins with a nod to his Brazilian heritage. The name ‘Roda,’ meaning ‘wheel’ in Portuguese, sets the stage for an exploration of movement and discovery within the realm of gender-neutral jewellery design. “We are also very excited to be introducing the Moritz Glik Men’s collection as well as some very special pieces from the House of Glik,” he says.

In Moritz Glik Men, the signature shaker takes centre stage with black diamond baguettes set in mixed-metal pieces of 18k yellow gold and oxidised sterling silver. “I created a very sophisticated texture that feels and looks great,” adds Moritz.
