ABOUT
Launched from Brooklyn in 2017, Lindley’s eponymous fine jewelry collection combines traditional craftsmanship with a perspective shaped by modern feminine expression. Inspired by fine and decorative art and the timeless edge of the Art Deco movement, her pieces feature strong lines and geometric silhouettes that illuminate the unique integrity and allure of natural, precious materials. She is now based in Philadelphia, PA.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Gray studied Jewelry and Metals at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn while apprenticing with independent studios, next designing for private label and commercial brands. Pursuing an intrinsic need to make by hand, Gray founded her personal collection in 2012, sharpening her technical craft until relaunching fine under her namesake in 2017. She continues to consult for independent and commercial fine jewelry brands.
MATERIALS, ETHICAL SOURCING AND SUSTAINABILITY
All pieces feature 100% post-consumer recycled gold and natural, high quality gemstones with ethical origins and applicable GIA certifications, including reclaimed diamonds. White diamond pricing is based on VS + clarity and G + color. Many gems used within the collections are custom cut, allowing for direct rough sourcing through trusted vendors. Made in Lindley’s Philadelphia studio and/or by independent, trusted craftspersons in the NYC Diamond District. Committed to a low impact on the environment, each piece is made to order, using as little chemical and material waste as possible.
